HPCW is a Vancouver BC, based company, Canadian owned and operated that offers a full range of services to make your climbing wall dream a reality. Here are some of the key players in HPCW:
Geoff is a certified Rock Guide and Level 3 Climbing Gym Examiner with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. Geoff has worked and managed operations at several climbing facilities - including The Edge Climbing Centre and Cliffhanger in Vancouver. He has been climbing as a multi-disciplinary rock/ ice/ alpine climber since the late seventies, garnering a number of first ascents in these disciplines to his credit. Geoff is a regular contributor to the North American climbing magazines. He trains staff, and manages the design and purchasing team at HPCW.
Previously the Senior Partner at Yolles Consulting Engineers Inc. in Vancouver, Jim has turned his attention to engineering climbing wall design and construction in order to pursue more directly his desire to be involved in climbing and the outdoors. As a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Jim's projects outside the climbing wall world include General Motors Place, The Ford Centre for Performing Arts, and the Grouse Mountain Resorts Chalet. Jim's unique talents as a climber and structural engineer have made him the expert of choice for climbing gyms such as The Edge, Cliffhanger, and many school and community walls. Currently Jim is one of the country's top adventure racers, and has unique first hand knowledge of adventure training courses - including acting as a Technical Committee member on several recent national level events.
Tyler Cousins
Tyler has been with us since we built our first walls, and has his own carpentry and cabinet-making company: Urban Workshop Ltd. A talented mechanic and mountain-biker, we have learned from the past that Tyler doesn't know how to say "no"... and so he often ends up with us in some pretty far-flung places. Tyler is currently assisting Project Management on the new Cliffhanger in Vancouver.
